Arrival

The going has been slow to get back into Fairy Play. I have so many ideas and my job leaves me with so little energy to put them to paper. I continue feeling my way through committing this to traditional medium. Here I started with a pencil sketch, laid down basic colors in watercolor, added depth with gouache, and then finished by adding deep shadows in black calligraphy marker and inking pen.

The glacial pace is infuriating but I’m so pleased to finally finish a page.
