Morbid Mockery

CW blood

Panel 1: A close up of Daiki’s smiling face, splattered with blood.

From off screen, George cries out, “Help!”

Followed by wet sounds of eating. “cronch mmmm shlurrr pff hhhh crunch cronch hhhnnng hh hh slurrp ahhh.”

Panel 2: The pooka stands on all fours with hooves apart and a bulging gut, standing in a large bloodstain on the forest floor. Drying blood cakes the pooka’s legs, face, and chest. A long, dark pink tongue lolls out of its mouth and curls into a U. George is gone.

Panel 3: The pooka uses its long tongue to lick blood off the top of its own head.

Panel 4: The pooka morphs its head to resemble George and says, “Temm tu ssserff yohre commoonty.” This references when George played the part of Lewell, Moth’s mentor, on stage and instructed Moth to go humble himself and find a community to serve.

Panel 5: The goat features melt away from the pooka’s face, save the horns, which are now slightly curled inward at the top. The pooka laughs, “Hh hhh hhh ha hhh aha hah ah ahh hhh hh.”

Panel 6: Still grinning, the pooka turns its attention to Daiki, who is quite small compared to the pooka’s current engorged size. The pooka stands on spindly, quivering legs with goat horns and a swaying gut, ears hanging low. Daiki sits on the ground with a stained black toga draped over one shoulder.

Panel 7: One of the pooka’s forelegs is visible in the foreground as Daiki gets up and flees wildly into the trees. A trickle of blood is just visible on Daiki’s thigh, and the toga provides a moment’s modesty as it falls away from his shoulder.
